Collaborating With the Société de Législation Comparée in France, the Center hosted an international symposium at the Hôtel de Beauvais, Paris on the theme of positive discrimination, on 16 September, 2005. The French and Japanese speakers presented intellectually stimulating papers, the results of which were published in April 2006 in an edited collection entitled, Égalité Des Sexes : La Discrimination Positive En Question - Une Analyse Compatative.
