東北大学大学院法学研究科は、8月7日に仙台弁護士会国際委員会が主催した国際交流イベントを開催しました。 このイベントには、本研究科に在籍する留学生3名が参加しました。参加者はまず、仙台地方裁判所において損害賠償請求に関する裁判を傍聴しました。その後、弁護士会館に移動し、交流会を行いました。交流会では、仙台弁護士会国際委員会の先生方から日本の司法制度について丁寧な解説を受けました。
また、本学の学生が傍聴した裁判に類似する中国の事例を紹介し、それをきっかけにナイジェリアや中国の司法制度や法廷文化の違いについて活発な意見交換が行われました。留学生にとって、異なる法制度について理解を深める貴重な機会となりました。 夜には仙台市内で懇親会が開かれ、参加者同士の交流をさらに深めることができました。

International Exchange Event with the Sendai Bar Association Held
The Graduate School of Law participated in an international exchange event organized by the International Committee of the Sendai Bar Association on August 7.
Three international students from our graduate school participated in the event. The event began with a visit to the Sendai District Court, where the students observed a civil lawsuit hearing. Following the court visit, an exchange meeting was held at the Bar Association Hall. During the meeting, members of the Sendai Bar Association’s International Committee gave a detailed explanation of the Japanese judicial system.
One of the participating students from Tohoku University presented a case from China that was similar to the one observed in court. This presentation sparked an active exchange of opinions on the differences in judicial systems and courtroom practices in countries such as Nigeria and China. The discussion provided a valuable opportunity for all participants to deepen their understanding of diverse legal systems.
In the evening, a konshinkai was held in downtown Sendai, allowing participants to further strengthen their connections in a more relaxed setting.
