東北大学法学研究科では、JR東日本基金のご厚意のもと、4月24日に2025年度第1回目となる留学交流イベント「ミングリング・イベント（Mingling Event）」を開催しました。
今回のイベントには、学部、大学院を問わず本研究科に在籍する多くの留学生が参加し、学部生及大学院の日本人学生も加わるなど、国籍や学年の垣根を越えた交流の場となりました。参加者は昼休みの時間を利用し、リラックスした雰囲気の中で、日本での勉強・生活や留学中の経験について語り合いました。日本での生活に関する不安が多い新入の留学生は、日本人学生との会話を通じて情報交換や相互理解が深まりました。また、日本人学生にとっても、英語を使った実践的なコミュニケーションの機会となり、今後の海外留学への関心を高めるきっかけとなりました。
また、イベントには研究科長にもご参加いただき、研究科内における国際交流の促進に加え、研究科長と留学生が直接意見を交わす貴重な機会ともなりました。
We Held Our First Mingling Event of 2025!
On April 24, 2025, the Tohoku University School of Law held its first mingling event for affiliated international students, generously sponsored by the JR East Fund.
The event aimed to promote communication and interaction among international students within the department. A total of nine international undergraduate and graduate students participated, contributing to a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Discussions covered a broad range of topics, including the challenges and concerns associated with daily life in Japan. In addition to Japanese graduate students, Japanese undergraduate students also took part, using the opportunity to practice their English and enhance their cross-cultural communication skills. The Dean of the School of Law also attended the event, making it a valuable occasion for direct dialogue between the dean and international students.
