リクエストにお応えして作った，レモンタルト。引越の手伝いに呼ばれて，部屋の壁を塗る，というので行ってみました。ペンキまみれになったけど，日本ではなかなかやる機会がないので，（一度なら）楽しめる。アメリカの人は，こういうのみんな自分でやるんだねぇ，と感心。

kidnapping Myerson
Heckmanの授業は，いつも，時間オーバーで次の授業時間帯にまで食い込むのだけれど，曰く，「Myersonが来るのが遅ければ，長く授業をやってられる」。
で，今日は，終了時刻近くなって，気合いが入ってきたので，
「誰かMyersonを30分ほど誘拐してこい，そうすればA+やる。
ただし，5年間投獄されるかもしれないけれど」
とのたまいました.....

昨日のHeckmanの授業は，Heckmanがお休みで，変わりにListが代役。
workshopとかでよく一緒になっていたので顔は知っていたけど，授業は初めて。なかなか楽しい授業をしてくれます。
この人も，10年か20年後にはノーベル賞取りそうだな。「新規分野開拓」で。

dentist
前に書いた，歯の詰め物がとれた件ですが，再度とれました。で，仕方ないので，歯医者に電話かけてみると，意外なことに，次の日OKとのこと。
説明によると，歯の一部がかけちゃってて詰め物があわなくなっていたとのこと。3週間後にまた来いよ，とtemporaryな治療をされて帰されました。うーむ，こんなだったら，最初から来てた方が良かったかな。

Put together, these story lines paint a scary picture of U.S. oil policy.
「そこは受けるところじゃないってばさ」シリーズでした。
まぁ，オイルな話な訳で，冒頭の方で，"Rockfeller --- the University of Chicago"と出てくるわけです。みんな失笑した後，拍手。満員に近い観客が共通のバックグラウンドを持っていると，こんなことが起こります。
さらには，終盤の方でも，"Milton Friedman got the godamn Nobel prize!" ここでも失笑。
きっと，この映画を作った人のうちに，UofCの卒業生がいるに違いない....

being famous
昨日のEconのapplication WSでは，Acemogluの登場だった。
時間に行ったら，席が全て埋まっていて，久しぶりに地べた座りでのWS参加。何かねぇ。どうも，coreでペーパー読まされる「有名人」がWSで報告するとなると，「とりあえず顔だけでも拝みに行こう」とみんな考えるのだろうか？ 前のShleiferのときもそうだったけど。

いやー，trois coleursを撮ったのとやっぱり同じ人なんだなぁ，というのを感じますね。モノに語らせる描写の仕方とか，話の筋とか。#2の方は，「trois coleursからしたらこういう展開になるだろうな」という予想の通りに，話が展開しました。
